Terms and Conditions

ALL health issues, injuries and expenses incurred during or after a pet's visit to Dog Wash Depot are the sole responsibility of the PET OWNER.

This Agreement and Terms and Conditions (collectively, this "Agreement") constitutes a binding legal agreement between you and Dog Wash Depot. This Agreement applies to all services provided including grooming and self service wash, and each and every time you visit Dog Wash Depot after the date hereof whether or not you are asked to accept these Terms of Agreement at another future time. Dog Wash Depot reserves the right to refuse service or participation to any person at any time.

By accepting these terms of agreement you are acknowledging that you are the owner of the pet(s) that are brought to Dog Wash Depot for services or that you have been authorized by the owner of the pet(s) to enter into this Agreement as the duly authorized agent of the owner. For good and valuable consideration.

To prevent the spread of disease while your pet is at Dog Wash Depot, pets must be current on rabies and distemper vaccinations. It is your responsibility to provide proof of vaccination history for each animal that comes on our premises.

Throughout your dog's visit to the Dog Wash Depot, we take the utmost care to ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of your dog. Any advice given regarding health problems should be followed up with advice from your vet. If your pet requires medical attention, Dog Wash Depot will attempt to contact you for instructions regarding care. If Dog Wash Depot in unable to contact you within a reasonable period of time, or if Dog Wash Depot otherwise determines in good faith that the condition of the pet requires immediate medical attention, Dog Wash Depot is hereby authorized to administer such medical attention as it deems appropriate, or seek medical attention for your pet from a veterinarian designated by you or, if no such designation has been made, by any veterinarian selected by Dog Wash Depot in its discretion. All costs and expenses incurred by Dog Wash Depot or such veterinarian are your sole responsibility and will be paid promptly by you.

You must inform us if your dog has ever bitten or has aggressive tendencies. A soft muzzle will be used when necessary. Dog Wash Depot reserves the right not to groom a dog if it shows unmanageable aggression. In such an event, the owner will be contacted immediately and asked to pick up their dog.

In the event of severely matted/overgrown coats and the need to clip down, the owner should be aware that irritation might occur from the shaving process. These matts tend to be located very close to the skin, around the ears, neck, armpits and groin. Great care is taken in these situations however working that closely to the skin may result in injury. In some cases, where de-matting isn't reasonable, the humane way to deal with this will be to completely shave off the coat. The owner agrees that Dog Wash Depot will not be held liable for any work on a severely matted or neglected coat. In the event of injury or illness, a vet may be sought and all costs will be at the owner's expense.

Precautions are used against the injury and escape of pets. Gates, doors, leashes, and tethers protect your dog from injury and escape. Dog Wash Depot will not be held responsible for injuries that occur, provided that standard care and precautions have been followed as determined at the sole discretion of Dog Wash Depot. You expressly agree that Dog Wash Depot' liability in the event that standard care and precautions are not provided by Dog Wash Depot shall in no event exceed the lesser of the current value of a pet of the same species or the sum of $200.00 (Two Hundred Dollars) per animal.

Your dog may be photographed before, during and after its groom. These images may be used on the Dog Wash Depot websites/Facebook pages etc. Please let us know if you'd prefer that pictures of your dog not be posted.

Pick-up must take place within one hour of the phone call informing you of your completed groom or by 6:00 pm whichever comes earlier. If our work is done we often leave earlier than 6:00 pm so waiting for a dog to be picked up is a hardship for our employees. While Dog Wash Depot does allow reasonable leeway for traffic and unforeseen circumstances, dogs left late will be charged a late pick up and/or sitting fee of $15 for every 30 minutes. Please call if you are running late.

Posted prices are starting prices for pets whose coats are well maintained between professional grooms (kept tangle, knot & matt free by regular brushing or combing). You can expect to pay more than the starting price for matted, poorly maintained &/or overgrown coats, or for pets that are difficult to manage or are uncooperative during grooming. These factors cost more time and products.

All fees and expenses are payable when your pet is picked up unless other arrangements have been made with Dog Wash Depot.

As additional consideration for Dog Wash Depot accepting your pet for any and all services, you hereby release Dog Wash Depot from any and all liability (except as expressly set forth above under the heading "Your Pet's Visit to Dog Wash Depot"), cost and expense resulting from or caused by disease, running away, theft, fire, or other animals or people, or loss or damage to persons or property caused or alleged to be caused by your pet. In addition, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dog Wash Depot and its employees, agents and representatives from any and all claims resulting from any action by your pet.

I accept these terms and conditions. (You may print this out and bring it with you to your appointment.)
